Tropical Rainforest

Locations:
There are two types of rainforest biomes. Both kind of rainforests are endangered. Temperate rainforerst and tropical rainforest. Tropical rainforests are found in: In Central and South America; in Western Africa, eastern Madagascar, and the Zaire basin; and in Indo-Malaysia along the west coast of India, Assam, Southeast Asia, New Guinea, and Queensland, Australia.

Seasonal Changes:

Rainforests are important because they make a rain. Tropical rainforest are warm all the years. Temperatures aren’t change a lot between night and morning. Tropical rainforests are wet areas and it can rain hard.

Average Temperatures and Rainfall:
The average temperature in tropical rainforests ranges from 70 to 85° F. Tropical rainforests have wet areas. The total rainfall for the year is 1500-2000.

Threats To The Biome:
Some people cut the trees and use them for get warm, make paper etc.



PLANTS

There is a large variaty of plants in tropical forests. Some typical plants are bengal bamboo, bougainvillea, coconut tree, curare,durian,jambu,kapok tree,mangrove forests,strangler figs,tualang,orchids and rafflesia flower. Some of these trees are sadly endangered. These are orchids and rafflesia flower. Orchids are threathened by many things. They are also known as living jewels. Although orchids are the largest flowering plant family in the world there are only 25.000 left.(Liza's Reef.com)
